  • MICHAEL HILL has a Master's degree in animation and a PhD in comics, prompting his introduction on ABC Radio as “DOCTOR COMICS”. Michael Hill has donated his collection of research materials of more than 400 Australian alternative comics and associated materials to the National Library of Australia. It will be known as the MICHAEL HILL COLLECTION OF AUSTRALIAN COMICS and available to researchers. The collection is currently in the process of being catalogued.

  • PROFESSOR JOHN A LENT (Temple University), founder/publisher/editor-in-chief of the INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF COMIC ART. The “International Journal of Comic Art” is a non-profit journal established in 1999 about comic art, published twice a year. The journal was established to create a new venue for scholars around the world to publish academic work on comics.

  • IGOR PRASSEL is currently finishing his Masters degree in Media Studies at the Ljubljana Faculty for Graduate Social Sciences Studies. He was a long time co-editor of the only Slovene comics magazine, STRIPBURGER, where he was writing articles and reviews, lecturing on comics history, translating, planning and setting up exhibitions… He is a freelance animation film programmer and board member for many different film and contemporary arts festivals in Slovenia. For almost ten year he was running a monthly animation film program at the SLOVENE CINEMATHEQUE. In 2004 he founded the INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION FILM FESTIVAL ANIMATEKA, where he is the artistic director and organisational co-producer.

  • CHARLES "CHUCK" ROZANSKI is the President and CEO of MILE HIGH COMICS INC. Mile High Comics was started out of Mr. Rozanski's parents' basement in 1969, and since then has become one of the largest comic book retail companies in the United States. Charles Rozanski is widely recognized as an industry leader and in 2003 he was awarded the DEFENDER OF LIBERTY AWARD by the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund for his long-standing dedication to the protection of free speech. In addition, Mr. Rozanski is a senior advisor to the Overstreet Comic Buyer’s Guide.

  • DEZ SKIIN, Called by some the "British Stan Lee," During the 1970’s Dez Skinn was headhunted by STAN LEE to reshape Marvel's floundering UK reprint division. Mr. Skinn founded and edited the comics anthology WARRIOR. Warrior went on to win 17 Eagle Awards, introduce V for Vendetta, and revive Marvelman/Miracleman. Dez founded STARBURST, which won the 1978 Eagle Award for Best UK Title. In 2010 Skinn received a Guinness Book of World records certificate and credit for creating the world's longest-lasting TV tie-in magazine for DOCTOR WHO WEEKLY. Dez Skinn writes a column called "The Skinny" for Future plc’s comics trade magazine COMIC HEROES.
